One of Three of Jane Weaver’s albums released on 7th August, as part of her “Early Recordings Collection”. Each on limited pressing colour vinyl, and all with differently coloured OBI bands over the sleeve. Very tasty looking they all look - separately and together!
The second full-length album from Jane Weaver, Cherlokalate “spins songs into fragile and sparkling lullabies” (The Guardian). Inspired by cult folk artists, from Karen Dalton to Linda Perhacs, these ten songs create a unique commentary on personal travails through happiness and pain, all brimming with passion and sorrow. An intimate journey of ethereal folk sweetness, elevated by gorgeous production, aching pedal steel, violins and, in parts, a mutated take on VU-styled rock.
