Osees - Off Course. 1LP UK only, Limited Edition on Blood Red Vinyl. Released September 2026
Thee Oh Sees - Osees return to a free-flowing approach on Off Course, building the album from extended studio jams that were later shaped into a set of unpredictable, tape-driven songs. Recorded live before being finished with vocals and contributions from Tom Dolas and Brigid Dawson, the record captures the band's restless energy and appetite for experimentation.
The album moves between sprawling workouts, concise blasts of garage rock and psych-leaning detours, all tied together by a raw, live-in-the-room feel. Organ-led grooves, warped hooks and shifting rhythms give Off Course an exploratory spirit, while its final stretch leaves a lasting impression with some of the most immediate melodies in the band's catalogue. Another mind fryer from this relentlessly prolific force of nature.
Sounds darn genuine, fine…very tasty. Great listen.
Side A
A1: Off Course
A2: Hecate's Reflection Is A Trick
Side B
B1: The Trick
B2: Syringe
B3: The Brute On His Knees
Deathgod. Cat. No. DG011X 2026
