from £26.00
Variant:

David Bowie - Aladdin Sane - 1LP Gatefold 50th Anniversary Half Speed Master on Black Vinyl; and 2025 reissue on 180g black vinyl also in a Gatefold Sleeve.

Composed by Bowie, mostly on the road, and on the boat, and whilst reading Vile Bodies, ‘Ziggy in America’, includes Mike Garson on piano, to some fine, sublime effect - what an addition. Otherwise much the same line-upof actors as on the previous 3 classic albums (The Man Who Sold The World, Hunky Dory & Ziggy Stardust).

Early recording sessions were at RCA Studios in New York, in December 1972, and then back at Trident in London later that month, and January 1973. Both New York and London recording sessions were produced by Bowie and Ken Scott.

And that cover, that image, that flash, created in January 1973 by Duffy and Pierre Laroche. Laroche also doing, and so wonderfully, the make up on the Mick Rock ‘Life on Mars?’ film in June, a month before the final Ziggy shows in London.

‍All Selections written by David Bowie, except Let’s Spend The Night Together which was written by Mick Jagger & Keith Richard.

Played by David Bowie & Mick Ronson, with T.J Bolder on Bass and Woody Woodmansey of Drums.

Plus: Mike Garson - Piano, Ken Fordham, Bux-Saxophones & Flutes, Juanita “Honey” Franklin, Linda Lewis, MacCormack - Vocal Back-Up.

Arranged by David Bowie & Mick Ronson, Mixed by Ken Scott & Mick Ronson, Engineered by Ken Scott & Mick Moran.
