David Bowie - The Man Who Sold The World - 1LP on 180g Black Vinyl. 2016 Remaster. Dress Cover.

The first Bowie of three Bowie records written, rehearsed - and atleast with this one - partially photographed - at Haddon Hall; and of course - the first of five albums with the hugely instrumental - in so many ways - Mick Ronson.

An album too, with a great variety of album covers; and atleast a couple of names. Was Metrobolist really a clever pun on, “My Troubled List”, and Metropolis the 1927 film? And What a back cover on some too...Oh By Jingo. (Not on this version btw)

An absolute essential, Bowie classic masterpiece from start to finish. His “Heaviest” record? Maybe…I think he was trying to impress Ronno, or atleast Ronno' was rubbing off on him.

Over the 45 years that i’ve been playing this record….it has grown and grown on me..

Tracklist:

Side One

  • "The Width of a Circle" (8:07)

  • "All the Madmen" (5:38)

  • "Black Country Rock" (3:33)

  • "After All" (3:52)

Side Two

  • "Running Gun Blues" (3:12)

  • "Saviour Machine" (4:27)

  • "She Shook Me Cold" (4:13)
