Performance and Cocktails is the second studio album by the Welsh rock band Stereophonics, released in March 1999 by V2 Records. It was the record that propelled the band from local Welsh heroes into a mainstream global household name.
It was the band's first album to debut at No.1 on the UK Albums Chart. It went on to be certified 5× Platinum in the UK, selling over 1.7 million copies. Driven by front-man Kelly Jones’ signature raspy, whiskey-toned vocals, the album features a heavier, more raw, guitar-riff-driven alternative rock sound compared to their indie-pop debut, Word Gets Around.
The album spawned five massive UK Top 20 singles: "The Bartender and the Thief" (which peaked at No. 3), "Just Looking", "Pick a Part That's New", "I Wouldn't Believe Your Radio", and "Hurry Up and Wait".
